Insurance Pool Guide

This guide will walk you through creating and managing an insurance pool on YieldShield.

Prerequisites

Before creating an insurance pool, ensure you have:

  • A Web3 wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.)
  • Sufficient funds for pool creation
  • Understanding of risk management concepts
  • Access to the YieldShield dApp

Creating an Insurance Pool

Step 1: Navigate to Pool Creation

  1. Go to the YieldShield dApp
  2. Navigate to the "Pools" section
  3. Click "Create Pool"

Step 2: Configure Pool Parameters

Set the following parameters:

  • Pool Name: A descriptive name for your pool
  • Initial Capital: The amount of capital to deposit
  • Risk Profile: Select the risk level (Low, Medium, High)
  • Token: Choose the token to use for the pool
  • Diversification Rules: Set diversification requirements

Step 3: Review and Confirm

  1. Review all pool parameters
  2. Check gas fees
  3. Confirm the transaction

Step 4: Pool Activation

Once created, your pool will be:

  • Listed in the pool directory
  • Available for deposits
  • Ready to process claims
